Formerly known as Mount Pleasant, the small family ski area shut down in 1992 after 20 years of operation. It resurfaced again in 1992 under a group of dedicated skiers and employees that formed the Edinboro Ski Association, Inc., a nonprofit membership-owned and operated ski club. Talk of privatizing the facility to a set number of members has not materialized, and the slopes are still open to the public. Mountain View is the only alpine ski area in remote northwestern Pennsylvania, located in the tri-state strip between Ohio and New York. It sits just 20 miles from Lake Erie, in line with the Great Lakes snow belt that dumps some of Pennsylvania’s most consistent and dependable powder. This eTrail contains a thorough description of the resort including driving directions, mountain statistics, trail profiles, extensive lodging & dining information, travel tips, and much more.

Mt. Pleasant is a delightful place to ski and snowboard. There is never any waiting in line, even on weekends, and the runs are challenging and fun. The food is homemade and everyone is friendly at Mt. Pleasant.
