Peace Valley Nature Center is a great place to take children, but it can also serve as a quiet respite for adults. The park is situated on the eastern end of Lake Galena and offers 14 miles of nature trails. This hike takes you a little off the beaten path, down to view the lake and through some mature woods. Do not miss the bird blind! It is one of the best parts of any visit to Peace Valley. It’s amazing, and in one sitting you could see cardinals, woodpeckers, finches, titmice, and blue jays. As many as 250 different species of birds have been spotted in the park over time. Bathrooms are at the nature center.
