Evansburg State Park is a favorite spot for folks in Montgomery County looking for a quiet, natural space. The Unami tribe (part of the Lenni Lenape) first settled the land that is today’s park. This hike offers a nice retreat into the woodlands with a small picnicking area along the way. There are several parking areas to access the park. For this hike, try to find a spot below the playground area because those spots are closer to the visitor center and trails. At the visitor center pick up a map at the kiosk. The trails are marked, but not incredibly well.
