Every mountain biker in the Philadelphia area should get involved with the Fairmount Park Commission to help keep access to the trails in the area secure for mountain bikers. This section of the park has some of the finest mountain biking trails in Eastern Pennsylvania. Cyclists should get involved with local groups like Friends of the Wissahickon to promote mountain biking in the park. With such a wide variety of trails, this is a wonderful place for riders of all abilities to pursue their sport. Terrain: Singletrack, doubletrack, as well as dirt and paved roads.

This is one of the best things Philly has to offer. It is a real oasis of wilderness smack dab in the middle of the city. My running group runs here all the time and our adventure club likes to come here for classes on subjects like nature photography or mountain bike field repairs. www.terramaradventures.com
