Tracy Ridge Recreation Area

Tracy Ridge Recreation Area Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This campground sits atop a hill in a mature oak stand, so all the sites are shaded. They’re well spaced too, so you’ll have some elbow room. Tracy Ridge is meant for hikers. The trailhead is here for a nearly 34-mile system of trails through Tracy Ridge Recreation Area, one of the few roadless areas in the forest.

Be aware that there are some steep climbs though; you’ll want to be in shape if you tackle a long loop. The Tracy Ridge trail system is marked with gray diamonds; portions of the North Country National Scenic Trail, which pass through, are marked in blue. You can also backpack and camp here."
