The best time to take this ride is from late April into early May when the fruit trees blossom. At several points on the ride, apple, peach, pear, and cherry trees will be all that you can see. Adams County is the heart of Pennsylvania's fruit-growing region, and Biglerville is the center for the production of apple products. Several big companies, such as Musselman's, have plants here. Pedaling through this quiet, scenic area can be a delight. The road surface is good.
