The area south of Lebanon around Cornwall and Cornwall Furnace includes some of the most beautiful and historic parts of Pennsylvania Dutch country. You will pass handsome old stone farm buildings still in use and ride along a part of the Furnace Hills Ridge, affording you memorable vistas of rural Lebanon County. Although much of the route is gently rolling, the segment through Rexmont to the Lebanon Reservoir on Rexmont Road has a few short grades steeper than 10 percent that may prove too arduous for inexperienced cyclists. Level cornfields, dairy farms, and Mount Pleasant await you. Traffic is light along most of the route, although there are brief sections of riding along the wide shoulders of busier roads. Be especially cautious about traffic while entering Cornwall Center and the village of Rexmont on summer days when Cornwall Iron Furnace is open.

nice ride in central pa farm land. most of the riding is on main country roads that had some occasional traffic but drivers gave me plenty of room. it is worth a ride.
