A 29-mile loop through beautiful hardwood forests and around Kinqua Bay on the Allegheny Reservoir. The Longhouse Scenic Byway winds through hardwood forests atop a large plateau and along an arm of Allegheny Reservoir. The two-lane route is paved and has frequent scenic turnouts. Traffic moves slowly and is moderate from spring through fall. Forest Road is not maintained in the winter. Special attractions: Allegheny National Recreation Area, autumn colors, lake recreation, wildlife watching, bicycling, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, camping.
