Green Canyon Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"On an old-growth-forested flat along the Salmon Wild and Scenic River, you will find this quiet campground, where you can either retreat from the flurry of activity around Mount Hood or join right in. The Mount Hood area welcomes fishing, hiking, berry picking, sightseeing, history tracking, and summer skiing. Near camp, trails parallel the Salmon River in both directions; the upstream hike enters the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness. The more challenging Green Canyon Way Trail begins across the road from camp and strikes straight uphill into the wilderness. The Salmon River offers catch-and-release fishing only."
