Separating Marion and Clackamas counties, Butte Creek begins in the forested hills beyond Scotts Mills and can be run to the Pudding River many miles downstream. Photographic scenes along this large creek are dramatic. Upper Butte Creek is also a great place to start boating Class IV rapids, since the rapids here are forgiving, yet technical.
