"A gentle grade makes this interpretive loop around a wildflower-blessed meadow a bonus for young and old alike. Trail leaflets (prepared by members of Santiam District #3 of the Oregon State Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc.) make the hike more interesting.
As you wind around the meadow, look for wildflowers, such as cow parsnip, bleeding heart, blue penstemon, columbine, trillium, lupine, tiger lily, and much more. Berries are abundant too. Look for gooseberries, salmonberries, strawberries, and elderberries. Special attractions: If you visit in the spring, wildflowers are the biggest attraction. History and ecology can be appreciated all year."
