Camas in hues of deep purple bloom in profusion at this urban nature preserve. An interpretive signboard at the trailhead has a map of the preserve and its trails. The best places to see camas and other wildflowers are on the grassy plateaus and in the oak–madrone woodlands. The right-hand trail leads from the trailhead to the East Plateau. It will take only a few minutes to reach the plateau through dense forest. In these open areas, the camas is easy to spot.
