Juntura (Horseshoe Bend) Hot Spring Professional Review and Guide
"This is a desert hot spring on an island in the Malheur River not visible from the nearby highway. Keep swimwear handy. A very hot source pool hides in the grass on the far side of the little island. The outflow from the source flows down to the river's edge where users dam up little soaking pools with rocks. New pools must be built whenever the river level fluctuates and after the spring runoff. The site is used extensively during the fall by hunters, so bright orange swimwear might be in order at this time of the year. The source pool is said to be usable over the winter months."
