Wetmore Professional Review and Guide
"This family campground occupies a rolling terrain of fir, ponderosa pine, and larch. An understory of mixed shrubs and wild roses attracts browsing deer. At the west end of the camp, a 0.5-mile paved, barrier-free trail journeys along a gurgling tributary and past oldgrowth pines and volcanic outcrops to switchback uphill to neighboring Yellow Pine Campground. Possible car outings include Unity Reservoir or the Sumpter Valley Railroad."
