This primitive camp occupies an open meadow flat along Desolation Creek, which is large and swift flowing. Pine and larch trees rim the camp, while the slope across the creek holds a congestion of lodgepole pines and a maze of interlocking logs. The camp is well used by hunters in fall, and an off-highway-vehicle trail starts to the camp’s east, off FR 10. Birding and fishing (special regulations apply) are other diversions.
