Below FR 10, this camp claims the narrow meadow shore of Desolation Creek just upstream from its confluence with the North Fork John Day River. Hawthorn, box elder, a conifer or two, and a lilac bush dot the camp flat. High canyon rims overlook the setting. The camp is a favorite of hunters and fishermen; be sure to check the sportfishing regulations for special rules.
