This area offers over 100 miles of challenging trails to off-road riders and other trail users. This ride is demanding as these paths climb steeply at times. The riding here is a mix of conditions and difficulties. One minute you are struggling with a steep hill, the next is a curvy cruise through the trees. Smooth tread can instantly give way to sandy, rocky, and rutted conditions. The trailhead at Lehman Hot Springs is about 35 miles west of La Grande and about 12 miles east of Ukiah.
