"A short day hike to 290–foot–high Elowah Falls. Elowah Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the Gorge at 290 feet and produces an incredible amount of spray and mist that swirls around the base of the falls. The mist is cold and pure on the skin especially on a hot day. The hike involves a gentle ascent and descent, is short, and does not climb on any ledges, unlike the trail to Upper McCord Creek Falls. This hike is a good hike for people of all ages."

A pleasant and pretty easy little hike to a lovely falls - not very much water in late summer, but it's a nice picnic spot.

A great trail almost any time of year. I have seen many pikas scurrying around in the rocky hillsides here.

It was a beautiful winter day with snow on the ground when we hiked to Elowah Falls. Even with snow conditions, the trail was in good shape and really an easy hike. Some care was necessary on the top section where the handrail is. There was some ice and a large section of icicles that were hanging over the trail, but it just added to the experience.

If you go, be sure to visit both the uppper and the main falls. It will be worth your time and effort.

This is a nice, short, easy trail with a gorgeous waterfall at the end. There are certain areas of the trail that are a bit rough so I'd be careful with children.
