Corbett and Crown Point

Corbett and Crown Point Professional Review and Guide

"Corbett and Crown Point are synonymous with the Columbia Gorge and with cycling in Portland. For more than a century, visitors have come from across the globe—on two wheels and four—to visit Crown Point’s Vista House, which has probably the most famous view in the Paci?c Northwest.

There’s more to this ride than the view, though. The Corbett area is bounded to the south and west by the Sandy’s deep canyon and to the north by the Gorge’s rim. To the east rises Larch Mountain, an ancient volcano cloaked in old-growth forest. From its crater spring Multnomah and Oneonta Creeks, which drop over their famous falls a few miles north in the Gorge. Surrounded by this rugged terrain, Corbett is an island in the sky, an isolated region of rolling hills, wooded valleys, rustic homesteads, and polished estates—in short, a fantastic place to ride."
