This hike covers the most spectacular part of the Wilson River Trail. You climb and traverse the steep slopes above Lester Creek Canyon before descending to meet the Kings Mountain Trail. Once past the junction with the Kings Mountain Trail, the track stays closer to the Wilson River through the lush second-growth forest to the junction with the Elk Mountain Trail, then descends a short distance to the Elk Creek Campground and Trailhead.
