University Falls

University Falls Professional Review and Guide

"While the hike isn’t long and the forest is relatively new, the quick jaunt to University Falls is a worthy cause in high-water season. From the trailhead the path begins by climbing briefly into the forest. This area has been repeatedly decimated by wildfires, and the forest that does exist here is largely deciduous, with red alder dominating the landscape.

Stay straight at a couple of off-road-vehicle path crossings and begin a slow, easy descent of about 0.2 mile to a junction. Follow the signed path on the left for 0.1 mile
to the base of University Falls. There’s not much here in the way of picnic areas, but there are a few serviceable rocks."
