The Kilchis is a small river located north of Tillamook on the northern Oregon coast. It passes into Tillamook State Forest between its upper forks and Little South Fork. Below the forest boundary much of the land is private, so paddlers must use designated take-out areas. Like many small coastal rivers, it has a short runoff period and an equally short length, flowing a total of only 20 miles. Paddlers often choose to run the Kilchis when water levels are high. Good flows are indicated when the stream gage at the Wilson River is between 7 and 12 feet.
