East Bay Professional Review and Guide
"On the east shore of 1,532-acre Thompson Reservoir, this comfortable campground borders a quiet cove, offers paved parking, and receives partial shade from its mixedage pine forest. Thompson Reservoir harnesses Silver Creek for irrigation and is open to fishing and boating. Boat speeds are limited to 10 miles per hour. The lake has an attractive shoreline when full and serves up western views of Yamsay Mountain. The south end of the lake boasts nesting bald eagles, while the lake island is a waterfowl nesting area."
