Waterloo County Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This extensive riverside campground fronts the broad and glassy South Santiam River and enjoys a relaxing valley location. Sweeping lawns, shade-providing oaks and maples, and browsing deer lend to the idyllic scene. Cottonwoods grow along the river. The park offers room to roam, but beware of poison oak. The river is open to boating, swimming, and fishing. Blackberry brambles hold tasty summer bites, if you can navigate the thorns."
