It’s only 0.7 mile long, but this woodsy neighborhood path has a unique charm worth seeking out. It also serves as a link in the Oregon Coast Trail. The easiest place to find the trail is in the center of town, at about the path’s midpoint; walk behind the police and fire station at the intersection of Pacific Way and Cottage Avenue and look for the “No horses or vehicles on Ridge Path” sign. From here the level, elevated path extends north 0.4 mile and south 0.3 mile, winding among trees, crossing little streets, and passing shingled beach cottages tucked into the woods.
