Horseshoe Bend Professional Review and Guide
"This facility consists of three camp flats: Beaver, Deer, and Otter. Deer Flat is for groups and must be reserved in advance. For wheelchair-accessible sites and accommodations, go to Beaver Flat. The single-party campsites have paved parking and are nestled in the woods along the North Umpqua River. The riffles and pools of the river invite fishing, hiking, and rafting. You will find a river access trail in Otter Flat. From the Horseshoe Bend Raft Put-in, it is a 2- to 3-hour float to Gravel Bin Takeout, 6.7 miles downstream. The North Umpqua National Recreation Trail follows the river on the opposite shore; you can access it by backtracking 0.8 mile on FR 4750 and driving across the one-lane bridge to the trailhead."
