Gwynn Creek Trail #1371 Professional Review and Guide

"The trail up Gwynn Creek may be the prettiest on Cape Perpetua. It follows the hillside above the creek, gently climbing through deep forest, much of it old growth. It’s lovely all by itself or linked with Cooks Ridge Trail for a loop hike.

The Gwynn Creek Trail begins off the Cape Coast Trail; hike here from the Gwynn Creek Trail interpretive center, or start at a wayside off US 101. Cross the highway, walk around the
gate and up a grassy clearing, and look left for the footbridge crossing Gwynn Creek. The trail begins at creek level but immediately begins a slow climb up the hillside on
the north bank of the creek. The trail crosses several side creeks; one at about 1.5 miles is especially pretty, cascading in a fan down a rock face."
