Suttle Tie Trail / Suttle Lake Loop Trail

Suttle Tie Trail / Suttle Lake Loop Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Suttle Tie Trail creates a link between riding opportunities on the flanks of Black Butte and Suttle Lake. This ride is a combination of a 3.8 mile loop and a 9.4 mile out-and-back leg. The ride has some short, moderately difficult hills on Suttle Tie Trail, which prove an exciting descent. Suttle Lake Loop Trail hugs the shoreline of the lake as it rolls over footbridges and through small drainages.

Beginners and families may find the trip too long. An easier option is riding only the lake loop. Suttle Tie Trail is more exciting than the loop around the lake, but the lake is the scenic highlight of the ride. The trailhead is just off US 20, approximately 10 miles northwest of Sisters."
