South Shore Professional Review and Guide
"On the south shore of Suttle Lake—a huge natural lake in a scenic, tree-lined basin—this campground offers the full gamut of water fun. The midday sun can pierce through the canopy of tall firs and big ponderosa pines, but generally campsites enjoy good shade throughout the day. There are paved roads through the camp and gravel or paved parking pads. Lakeside sites are snapped up quickly. Boating, fishing, waterskiing, and swimming, as well as hiking the 3.25-mile Shoreline Trail and just relaxing at camp, should keep everyone in the family happy. To avoid having to battle the afternoon winds, shore anglers will want to rise early."
