Butte Creek: Fault Line to Oregon 213 Professional Review and Guide
"This run on Butte Creek flows through scenic forested mountain foothills that are an abrupt contrast to the rural countryside found near Mount Angel and Woodburn. It has considerable variety for a small stream: ledge drops, a few slots, S curves, rock gardens, a gorge, one slide, a couple of logs, and two dams. The rapids are separated by long stretches of easier water. An alternate take-out at the park in Scotts Mills shortens the trip by 2 miles. Character: forested."
