This campground hugs the West Fork Silver Creek, a tiny creek with a few deep pools for fish. A semi-open pine flat with big ponderosa pines houses the camp. The sites have gravel parking, receive a mix of sun and shade, and can serve either as a stop or a base for exploring the Fremont National Recreation Trail, which traverses a corner of the camp. Thompson Reservoir, 5 miles southeast, offers more-dependable fishing and also boating (10 miles per hour).
