Siletz River—Siletz to Morgan Park Professional Review and Guide
"If you are looking for a river with more excitement than the usual flatwater trip, this could be the one for you. Although this 12-mile section of the Siletz River is not known for tight corners or difficult maneuvering, when the water levels are high it can offer rougher water than any of the other trips described in this book. Paddling this trip may whet your appetite to venture into more difficult whitewater situations; or then again, it may get you just plain wet. Because the hardest parts of this trip are in the first half, you might consider launching midway, at Ojalla Bridge, if you are not sure you are ready for the rough water upstream. Even so, the lower half of the route has plenty of swift water to deal with."
