The Siletz River is a long, undulating coastal stream that drains much of northern Lincoln County. Unusual for its aimless course, the river is constantly twisting and turning in every possible direction. This section of the Siletz is particularly pleasant on a hot day, as it offers many shady portions and placid pools of cool water. A few gravelly sections, however, may become quite shallow by midsummer.
