Siletz River: Moonshine County Park to Sam Creek Bridge Professional Review and Guide
"This is a pleasant and scenic run for beginning kayakers and intermediate open canoers. It is usually runnable in late spring or early fall when most of the other coastal rivers are too low to navigate. Numerous small rapids, shallow riffles, eddies, and a few small surfing waves provide enjoyable and easy boating. An occasional tree in the river is usually included. The river passes under the highway bridge about midway through the run. The second bridge (concrete) helps locate the take-out at the boat ramp on the left. Character: rural; roaded."
