Illinois River Road Professional Review and Guide
"This ride is strenuous, with many ups and downs. The trip begins with 14 miles of gravel Forest Service Road 4105. This stretch contains several long ascents and descents. The climbing breaks down as follows: two miles of easy, four miles of moderately difficult, and two miles of steep pedaling. This climb is followed by a rugged 1.2-mile descent to the Illinois River. Illinois River Road travels alongside the scenic waterway. The road is rough and the terrain is demanding. After 7.5 miles of unmerciful undulations, Illinois River Road changes to a paved surface. The last mile of the circuit is a grueling grind. Trail begins 7 miles west of Selma. Selma is 23 miles southwest of Grants Pass."
