From the bridge at the put-in, the river moves right along. Some rather steep rocky drops occur, but no blind drops as in the upper run. The rapids seen from Oregon 226 between Hannah Bridge and Jordan Bridge are typical of the difficulty of this run. The mean river gradient is close to 30 fpm for most of the river run; however, the gradient is much steeper in two sections. Between miles 3 and 4 above Jordan Bridge, the river drops 100 feet, and at the remnants of the Jordan Dam, the drop is about 20 feet. Character: forested; logging.
