Washington Ponds and George Lake

Washington Ponds and George Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In its long course from Mexico to Canada, the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) takes hikers high on the slopes of many of the northwest’s famous volcanic peaks, providing fine views and excellent mountain scenery. One of the lesser known of those peaks is pointed Mt. Washington, which rises above a land of rolling forests and vast lava flows in the central Oregon Cascades. But “lesser known” is not the same as less beautiful, as this section of that famous trail amply demonstrates."
