Whistler's Bend Park Professional Review and Guide
"This 148-acre park tucked in a bend of the North Umpqua River provides campers with ample room to roam. Because it is managed as a wildlife refuge, the park offers opportunities to watch birds and wildlife, including the rare Columbia white-tailed deer. The rustic camp blends with its oak woodland and riverbank setting. The parking is paved. In spring, camas and iris adorn the natural grasses. The river captivates with its blue-green clarity and recreation. As always, be sure to check current fishing regulations. A river trail invites exercise, but beware of poison oak when exploring."
