Fall Creek Falls

Fall Creek Falls Professional Review and Guide

"If you’re a waterfall hunter on a time crunch, it can be difficult to pick and choose your way through the countless waterfalls in the Umpqua River area. Don’t skip this one. The trip to Fall Creek Falls can satisfy several cravings often possessed by hikers. There’s remarkable geology, eye-widening scenery, and, of course, a waterfall—a four-tiered, 120-foot waterfall at that.

This trail to Fall Creek Falls takes hikers through some fascinating volcanic geology. And it doesn’t take long to do so. The hike starts by crossing a footbridge and shortly
thereafter leads through a narrow bedrock crevice. Continue along the trail for 0.3 mile to a junction with the Job’s Garden Trail. Stay straight here, hiking along the main trail.
Hike another 0.3 mile to the base of the falls. Along the way keep an eye out for stacks of columnar basalt."
