Hamaker Professional Review and Guide
"This idyllic campground occupies a forested bench overlooking the Rogue Wild and Scenic River as it threads out of Crater Lake National Park. Gorgeous old-growth Shasta red firs and Douglas firs rise above camp. The setting is perfect for lounging, but anglers in pursuit of wily trout can try their luck negotiating the shrubs of the riverbanks. Hikers might check out a segment of the Upper Rogue Trail, which pursues this prized waterway downstream from Crater Rim Viewpoint (north on OR 230) to Lost Creek Reservoir (southwest of Prospect). Reach the trail upstream from camp at the barricaded river bridge that is open to pedestrians only."
