Farewell Bend Professional Review and Guide
"This pleasant, popular campground is contained by a scenic bend of the Upper Rogue River. A few pine trees rise among the Douglas firs and hemlocks of camp. The sites have trampled earthen floors, but the perimeters burst with greenery. The river courses over bedrock, except where a gorge squeezes it into a 4- to 5-foot-wide chute. The campground is ideal for relaxing at the river or for sightseeing, with Crater Lake National Park, Diamond Lake Recreation Area, and the Upper Rogue River–Union Creek country all nearby. Superior hiking trails follow Union Creek and the Upper Rogue River."
