Twin Pillars

Twin Pillars Professional Review and Guide

"The Twin Pillars are located in the Mill Creek Wilderness within the Ochoco National Forest. It’s far less crowded here than at nearby Steins Pillar (Hike 84), but this is still one of the more popular and accessible attractions in the area. For more solitude and a higher likelihood for wildlife viewing, start from the more remote northern trailhead as described here.

From here you can really appreciate the gain is very comfortable, with the exception enormity of this monolith. Steins Pillar is over of the last climb and occasional scrambling 350 feet high and 120 feet wide. The rock up to the base of the pillars. Because of past itself is composed of forty-four-million- forest fires and intermittent maintenance,
year-old rhyolite ash, gradually chiseled trails here are sometimes difficult to follow. Away by the elements to create the large Come prepared with navigational skills and tower you see today."
