This loop is physically demanding. The ride begins with one mile of pavement and then moves to dirt and gravel forest roads. These climb steeply at times. Rocks and ruts make the steeper parts more difficult. The most technically demanding part of the trip is a one-mile stretch of rough rock on Trail 805. You obtain a nice view of the Ochoco Mts. and the surrounding countryside from the summit of Round Mt. The loop begins near Walton Lake Campground, approximately 30 miles east of Prineville.
