Poison Butte Recreation Site Professional Review and Guide
"This is one of the smaller camps along the Crooked River. Like the others, it is set in a juniper forest, but some big ponderosa pines loom across the river. The river here slows, broadens, and grows shallow enough that anglers can often wade across it. White rocks and grassy banks complement the green water, and geese and herons may favor the site with a visit. Fires and smoking are prohibited from June 1 to October 15."
