Ray Atkeson Memorial Trail

Ray Atkeson Memorial Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This hike has gorgeous views of Sparks Lake, South Sister, and Broken Top. The trail parallels the edge of the lake and then winds through a thick lodgepole pine forest and past interesting lava flows. You will also have nice views of Mount Bachelor midway through the hike. This hike is a must-do if you crave beautiful lake and mountain views.

This loop hike takes you past scenic Sparks Lake and through a pine forest with interesting lava outcroppings. The trail is paved and wheelchair accessible for the first 0.4 mile. This hike offers jaw-dropping views of Sparks Lake with South Sister and Broken Top in the background."
