Highlights include deer and antelope playing (but no buffalo roaming) on a desert plateau surrounded by high peaks, with a hot springs and a huge cliff that has an unbelievably beautiful chain of lakes along the base. Mostly easy, one-lane gravel road. The road up the escarpment to Refuge Headquarters is a little steep, and some of the side roads are fairly primitive.
