Along the South Fork Umatilla River above the North Fork confluence, this linear campground, with a separate tent area, stretches below bald hills and long grassy ridges. A few pines and firs shade the sites, while cottonwoods and alders favor the riverbank. The camp offers quiet and access to trails for hiking and horseback riding; several enter the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness. Wildflowers abound, and wildlife sightings are common. Hunting, fishing, and trail bike riding (on trails outside the wilderness) are other area pursuits.
