Columbia River Middle Columbia Slough

Columbia River: Middle Columbia Slough Professional Review and Guide

"This section of the Columbia Slough stretches from Northeast 143rd to Northeast 18th Avenues, a total of 125 blocks, or about 8 miles. Although this trip is in the midst of a major urban area, watch for otters, nutria, green herons, and owls. This trip may be enjoyed year-round, but the slough accumulates considerable amounts of algae during periods of low water in summer; the best paddling is when water levels are higher."
