Chewaucan Crossing Trailhead and Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This campground on a pine-and-juniper flat along the Chewaucan River has gravel roads and parking pads. It is a gateway to the long-distance Fremont National Recreation Trail, which travels north to Yamsay Mountain and south to Cox Pass. A pedestrian bridge spans the river at the camp, linking the trail segments. Fishing the river, anglers can match wits with rainbow and brook trout."
