Timpanogas Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Situated below the Cascade Crest in the Oregon Cascades Recreation Area, this campground is one of the most enchanting spots in the state, but it is guarded by mosquitoes until late summer. The spacious, well-forested sites sit near the lovely blue platter of Timpanogas Lake. Forest, meadow, and rugged slope rim the lake, which is open to nonmotorized boating and fishing. Trails explore the lakeshore and visit Indigo Lake, another high-mountain jewel along which pikas and pine martens dwell. Huckleberry bushes weighted with berries attract pickers, and photographers find plenty of subject matter."
